Nazarbayev met with President of Cyprus and head of ExxonMobil

Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev had a number of bilateral meetings during his visit to New York, USA, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the President's press-service. President Nazarbayev will leave New York on September 22. Nursultan Nazarbayev met with President of Cyprus Dimitris Christofias. The Presidents discussed the status and prospects of development of the relations between their countries, as well as the issues discussed at the 66th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations. “There are no problems between our countries. We decided to exchange visits of Foreign Ministers of our countries. I invited President Nursultan Nazarbayev to visit Cyprus,” press-service cited Christofias. Kazakhstan President also met with the Chairman of the Board of ExxonMobil Rex Tillerson. The parties discussed enhancement of investment partnership, as well as expansion of participation of American companies in implementation of Kazakhstan's projects. Nursultan Nazarbayev arrived in New York on September 20 to take part in the 66th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations. September 21 he will take part in general debates of the session. Nazarbayev will be among the very first speakers. It is expected that UN member-states will focus on the situation in several countries of the Middle East and North Africa, and on prospects of settling of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
