Second hippie festival called Hi-Hi-Fe will be held close to Kok-Zhailyau in Big Almaty Gorge area, Almaty, on September 23-26, Tengrinews.kz reports. It is expected that the 60s-style picnic will gather over 600 fans of hippie-culture. Bright and colorful clothes are the main criterion for the visitors. Wide colorful pants, bell-jeans, pinafores and skirts, as well as chaplets, beads and bracelets are all welcome at the festival. Participants will organize different competitions, games, dancing and circle dances around the bonfires. Hi-Hi-Fe is a health-improving campaign, that’s why alcohol is prohibited at the event. “Nature, costumes and music make people feel good. People will be walking around, smiling, hugging, sharing their mood with each other and just enjoying life,” the festival organizer Daniil Shirokoborodov said. The first Hi-Hi-Fi festival was held in Yenbekshi village in Almaty oblast and gathered over 1 thousand hippies. By Vladimir Prokopenko
