Free Wi-Fi hubs created at squares and alleys of Atyrau

Free Wi-Fi zones are operating in Atyrau starting from September 12, Tengrinews.kz reports citing public relations service of KazakhTelecom. According to KazakhTelecom, Creation of Wi-Fi network in Atyrau project is implemented by Atrau Oblast Telecommunication Management along with the oblast's administration. Free Wi-Fi hubs appeared on Issatai-Makhambet and Dina Nurpeissova squares, Kyrmangazy alley, near the city and oblast administration buildings, in Victory and Zhilgorodok parks, on the seashore and close to the Aytrau mall. “Creation of free Wi-Fi spots is one of the stages of implementation of the President’s instruction to increase information accessibility for population via Internet-resources as part of the innovative development of the oblast,” Akim (Governor) of Atyrau oblast Bergei Ryskaliyev said during the official presentation. The first pilot project on creation of free Wi-Fi hubs was launched by KazakhTelecom with Astana city administration. Free Wi-Fi appeared on Nur Zhol alley on July 4, the Capital’s Day.
