Production of a new type of cable that doesn’t burn and doesn’t emit harmful substance in case of fire has been launched in Semey, Eastern Kazakhstan region, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing KazTAG. “The new types of cable are made according to the latest European standards,” Altynay Kuandykova, chief industrial engineer at East Industry Company Ltd said. The product is made from copper and aluminum wire rod and plastic components. The capacity of production will amount to thirty three thousand kilometers of cable a year. According to the chief engineer many energy producers in the region are interested in the new cable. “Hopefully, the obsolete regulations of multi-storey buildings construction would be revised in our country, like it hs been done in Russia. Then our up-to-date cables will be in demand at Kazakhstan market,” Kuandykova said.
