Kazakhstan acknowledged Libyan National Transition Council

Kazakhstan acknowledged the National Transition Council as the acting government of Libya, Tengrinews.kz reports citing official representative of Kazakhstan Foreign Affairs Ministry Askar Abdrakhmanov. According to him, Kazakhstan Deputy Foreign Minister Kairat Sarybai met with charges d'affaires of Libya in Kazakhstan Ahmed Ad-Dib. “Kazakhstan is hoping that the National Transition Council wil take immediate measures to provide security of the civilians, and restore stable work of all the state bodies of the country,” Abdrakhmanov said at the briefing on September 5. According to official representative of the Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan, being an acting chairman of OIC CMFA (Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Organization of the Islamic Conference), is ready to mobilize the resources available in the Organization to render necessary support to ensure the soonest possible stabilization of the situation and overcome humanitarian crisis in Libya.
