Kazakhstan tennis professionals Yaroslava Shvedova and Galina Voskoboeva have got into the third round of the US Open Doubles, Tengrinews.kz reports, reffering to the official website of the tournament. Shvedova paired with Vania King won against Eleni Danilidou and Polona Hercog. Now the Kazakhstan-American tennis duo will play against Jessica Pegula and Taylor Townsend. The second Kazakhstan tennis player Voskoboeva paired with Shu-Ying Hsieh from Taipei won a Spanish duo 6:2, 6:2. It is expected that Voskoboeva and Shu-Ying Hsieh will play against Ukrainian tennis pair Alena and Katerina Bondarenko at the third round of the tournament. Shvedova is no longer competing in the tournament’s Mixed Doubles. She paired with Belorussian Maksim Mirny and lost the match against Belorussian-Polish duo of Olga Govortsova and Martsin Matkovski. Shvedova left the US Open Singles during the qualification matches and Voskoboeva lost the match of the first round.
