Kazakhstan Ministry of Internal Affairs consider the situation in the country's western regions stable, Tengrinews.kz reports citing official representative of the Ministry Nurdilda Oraz. “The situation is western regions is stable in general. All measures are currently taken to ensure security,” Oraz said at the briefing on August 31. Earlier Tengrinews.kz English reported about Atyrau police apprehending 18 people suspected of preparing terrorist attacks.
