KazMunaiGas thinking about buying Helios

Deputy Chairman of Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund Timur Kulibayev confirmed that KazMunaiGas has started negotiations to buy Helios fuel stations network, KazTAG reports. Answering the question about the cost he said: “The cost of the deal is a commercial issue. It is too early to comment. We will make the announcement as soon as the deal is completed.” Helios has 228 fuel stations in Kazakhstan. It buys fuel from Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant that is 42% owned by Samruk-Kazyna. Samruk-Kazyna is the sole shareholder of KazMunaiGas national company.
