Hollywood actor Michael Madsen known for Kill Bill, Reservoir Dogs, Die Another Day is off for a research leave, so he canceled his participation in Kazakhstan movie Hunting the Phantom by Marina Kunarova, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Kazakh actor Farkhat Abdraimov as its source.
The American actor was immediately substituted with Russian actor Igor Babichev. Babichev is not very famous. He is known for his roles in other Kazakh projects, though. Earlier he played in the Kazakh comedy Kairat the Champion, or Virgin #1 by Denis Kuklin and Lev Mariupolskiy.
The Hunting the Phantom movie is shot in Astana, Almaty and Los-Angeles and is scheduled to be released in spring 2012.
