In the quarterfinal the Almaty club won over a Vietnamese club 3:0 (27:25, 25:20, 25:22). Today, on July 29 Almaty is scheduled to play against Sakai Blazers from Japan. Iranian and Chinese teams will meet in the other semifinal. Matches for the first and third places will make place tomorrow, on July 30. In the team stage volleyball club Almaty has had five victories and one defeat. It lost against Iran that is last year’s winner of the championship. The team that wins the first place in the Indonesian championship gets at spot at the world championship in Qatar.
