British Council announced contest for best design of website of Kazakhstan Museums

Kazakhstan residents will be able to take part in the contest for the best design of a three-language interactive website called Kazakhstan Museums, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the British Council. Kazakhstan Museums websites is created under the Museums Modernization three-year project of the British Council charity and development organization. The website has to be an interactive, original and modern online-catalog of the country’s museums in three languages: Kazakh, Russian and English. Any Kazakhstan residents, independent designers and creative groups, including students of any universities aged 16 to 40, can try to win the contest. According to the organizers of the Museums Modernization project, the website will gather in one place all the information about museums and other cultural and historical monuments of Kazakhstan. The prize for the best design is 100,000 tenge ($700) and a right to take part in the work group of website designers (on contractual basis, in November 2011). Authors of the best works will be awarded with certificates and souvenirs. The drafts can be submitted before September 15, 2011. The jury will evaluate the works and announce the winner in the beginning of October. An official ceremony of the website launch will be held on December 15 this year.
