A special account has been opened at the Embassy of Japan in Kazakhstan to accept donations from corporations and individuals for victims of the earthquake and tsunami. All the donations will be forwarded to the Red Cross of Japan to be further distributed among those in need of help. The Japanese flag flies at half-staff at the Japanese Embassy in Astana.
