Tickets for the EXPO-2017 and tour packages for the exhibition's guests will go on sale in Kazakhstan starting from 2016, a Tengrinews journalist reports from Milan, where the EXPO-2015 opened its doors on May 1.

Deputy Chairman of Astana EXPO-2017 National Company that runs preparations for the EXPO-2017 Vera Kobaliya spoke about the plans of the company regarding the exhibition. “Tour packages will surely be offered. We believe we need to offer specific tours for different people. Tourists are interested in visiting the nearby sights and climbing the mountains with their families. Along with tourist companies and experts in the field of tourism, we are now developing the tour packages and they will be ready by the end of this year,” Vera Kobaliya said.

“And starting from 2016 we will start selling these tour packages as well as tickets to the EXPO-2017 in Astana. I think that our sights are interesting for our guests. If a tourist comes for a short time, we may offer him a trip to Burabay resort area (near Astana), but for those who can stay longer, we will offer visiting the southern capital of the country Almaty,” she continued.

The Milan EXPO 2015, which expects over 20 million visitors from around the world, will last until October 30.

Kazakhstan's delegation opened the Kazakhstan pavilion on May 1 with a performance of a music band. The guests were presented the history of the country via a sand show and offered national drink kumys made from mare's milk.

The Kazakhstani delegation is not only presenting the wealth and beauty of our country, but is also gaining valuable experience for the upcoming EXPO-2017 to be held in Astana. First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Rapil Zhoshybayev, the commissioner of the EXPO-2017, who is now in Milan, said that Kazakhstan’s delegation was learning a lot from its Italian colleagues. “It is a good experience in terms of how to receive the guests and in terms of communication. Organizers arranged several cultural events, for example, yesterday there was a concert of Andrea Bocelli in the square. As a tourist center, the city has done a great job. There are also moments we would like to avoid, the difficulties, which Milan encountered. We are learning a lot to make our exhibition even better," he said.

Visitors of the Kazakhstan pavilion are presented a beautiful reconstruction of a Kazakh traditional scenery – vast wheat fields. Wheat is one of the most important natural resources in the country, which is among the leading exporters of wheat and flour in the world. The exhibition also features a hi-tech table that presents Kazakhstan’s leading researcher Alexander Barayev. He revolutionized agricultural technologies in the country increasing the land fertility. Visitors will also learn about production of kumys, the national drink made of fermented mare's milk. The pavilion has an installation made of real apples from Kazakhstan.

In addition, the pavilion will exhibit Kazakhstan’s environmental problems and methods of dealing with these problems. 3D installations called The Caspian Sea, The World of Energy, The Sun Rays, The Nature of Kazakhstan and an overview of several EXPO-2017 projects are displayed at the pavilion.
