The WBA (Super), IBO and WBC Interim middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin has gone up to the third place in the Pound-for-Pound (P4P) rating, Tengrinews reports.
The WBA (Super), IBO and WBC Interim middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin has gone up to the third place in the Pound-for-Pound (P4P) rating, Tengrinews reports.
The P4P from Boxrec.com was updated after the highly anticipated fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr and Manny Pacquiao. Mayweather Jr winning for the 48th consecutive time strengthened his leadership in the P4P rating with 2059 points. In turn, Pacquiao lost for the 6th time in his professional boxing career and went from the 3rd place to the 7th place in the rating with 925 points.
As a result, Golovkin landed on the 3rd place with 1085 points. Triple G follows Vladimir Klichko (1280 points) in the P4P rating.

The Mayweather- Pacquiao fight took place in Las Vegas on May 2. Mayweather won by the unanimous decision after 12 rounds. The undefeated American defended his WBA (Super) and WBC titles as well as won Pacquiao’s WBO title.
Golovkin, an undefeated boxing star from Kazakhstan, faces American southpaw Willie Monroe Jr on May 16 at The Forum in Los Angeles.
