Kazakhstani boxer Gennady Golovkin has been named the WBA Boxer of the Month (February), Tengrinews reports citing Vesti.kz.

Kazakhstani boxer Gennady Golovkin has been named the WBA Boxer of the Month (February), Tengrinews reports citing Vesti.kz.

Earlier, the undefeated boxer was named the Boxer of the Month (February) according to WBC. His first fight in 2015 took place on February 21. Golovkin defeated his British opponent Martin Murray in the 11th round with a TKO.

Next, Triple G is facing Willie Monroe Jr on May 16 at The Forum arena with a capacity of 17 thousand seats.

"Its going to be one of those fights; speed vs. power, slickness vs. aggressiveness and the bull vs. the matador. I am ready. I’ve been in training already for three weeks before we even got this fight. We will be more than ready on May 16,” Monroe said.
