Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Karim Massimov to visit France June 26-27

Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Karim Massimov is expected to visit France June 26-27, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing the PM’s blog. According to the Kazakhstan’s Foreign Ministry, during the official visit the sides will tally results of the agreements reached at the highest level. “We are interested in implementing French practices to raise education efficiency (…), enhance competitive ability of scientific research”, Adil Tursunov, Head of Foreign Ministry’s Department for Europe Affairs. KazTag, citing Christiane Keriel, adviser to the General Directorate of higher education, reports that Kazakhstan and France are expected to “sign agreements for Kazakhstan’s young researchers to have internships with leading technical universities of France”. France and Kazakhstan had signed contracts worth two billion euros during a Paris visit of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev in October 2010.
