Kazakhstan Prime-Minister Karim Massimov met with a Member of Lebanese Parliament, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Prime-Minister's Twitter. “Met with former Prime-Minister, deputy of Lebanese Parliament Fuad Siniora,” tweeted Massimov. The meeting was held in the framework of the 7th World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) held in Astana from June 7 to 9. This is the major annual economic summit of OIC (Organization of the Islamic Conference) member-states. The forum is attended by over 150 famous Kazakhstan and foreign speakers, a total number of participants is around 2 thousand people. The WIEF will include sessions to discuss the issues of Islamic banking, development of financial infrastructure, halal industry, small and medium businesses, alternative energy sources, etc.
