Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev Shkolnik will build the Students Creativity Palace in Astana in 2011, Tengrinews.kz reports. KazAtomProm national atomic company lead by Vladimir Shkolnik will be in charge of construction of the Students Creativity Palace in Astana. “The Students Palace is being built by Shkolnik. I was there yesterday. It will be a unique building. There are no such project in the world. Finally they've remembered about children,” Nursultan Nazarbayev said. Opening of the Palace will be timed to the 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence. Astana Akim (Mayor) Imangali Tasmagambetov told about other facilities scheduled to be built in 2011. As per Tasmagambetov, 33 facilities for kids will be built in the capital under Balapan program. The Akim said that a school will be built after English school fashion. It is scheduled to be completed by September 1. A mosque and a television and radio complex are to be built by the end of 2011. These are the most significant facilities to be open on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of independence. More than one million of square meter of residential buildings will be built in Astana by the end of 2011, Tasmagambetov said. “Development of the areas of Mynzhyldyk alley west of Khan Shatyr and Kabanbai batyr streets, and the area from the airport to Sagynak street will start as part of implementation of the program.
