A serious delay of Air Astana flights was caused by a breakdown of a Boeing-767 aircraft. 195 passengers of its passengers have been unable to leave Frankfurt am Main for the last 18 hours, Air Astana’s press-secretary Tlek Abdrakhimov told Tengrinews.kz. According to him, there was a problem with the aircraft’s gear leg. “KC922 flight to Astana is being delayed. The engineers are currently repairing the plane. The passengers are expected to take off at 02:00 p.m. German time, which is 06:00 p.m. Astana time,” Abdrakhimov said. “Several other international and local flights were delayed as well.” He added that planes from Bangkok and Kuala-Lumpur were 4 hours late yesterday, July 2. Besides, the delay in Germany affected local flights inf Kazakhstan as well: the flights from Almaty to Astana, from Ust-Kamenogosrk to Almaty and from Almaty to Aktau and back were delayed by several hours.
