Moody's confirms Astana's positive rating with Stable outlook

International rating agency Moody’s has confirmed Astana’s investment rating at the level of Baa3 with Stable outlook, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the press-service of Astana administration. The positive rating reflects an improvement in the balance, low financial deficit and growth of the city’s budget income. The analysts note the dynamic and diversified city economy and the potential for its further development. Baa3 rating is also held by Barcelona, Istanbul, Madrid and Riga. Astana’s rating is one point lower than the overall rating of Kazakhstan (Baa2).
