Legenadary boxer Roy Jones Jr. to come to Kazakhstan

Roy Jones Jr., an American legend of professional boxing will come to Kazakhstan, Vremya newspaper writes citing promoter Vlad Khryunov. Roy Jones Jr. used to be an absolute world champion in four weight categories. Kazakhstan-born Khryunov said that Jones will come to Kazakhstan in the coming month. “I will not disclose all secrets and will not tell how exactly Kazakhstan will meet this great boxer. Everything will be made to thank the country that has such a rich history in world boxing,” he added. On May 22 Khryunov organized a boxing night in Moscow. The night culminated in a non-title cruiserweight fight of 42-year-old Roy Jones versus Russian boxer Denis Lebedev. In the final round Lebedev knocked the American out. As per the official information, Roy Jones Jr. received $500 thousand for his participation in the fight against Lebedev.
