Kazakh companies may participate in privatization of large enterprises in Belarus, Tengrinews.kz reports. This was announced May 24 by President Nursultan Nazarbayev following his talks with Aleksandr Lukashenko in Astana. “We dwelt on participation of Kazakhstan’s companies in privatization of large enterprises in Belarus. We are interested in machinery building, chemicals, oil processing, and agriculture. I expect Kazakhstan’s companies to take an active part in privatization programs in Belarus”, Kazakhstan’s President said. According to President Nazarbayev, “Belarus has been strengthening its capabilities in processing. Whereas Kazakhstan is a nation that extracts and sells plenty of raw materials. Belarus has an established machinery building sector. We can complement each other in a unique way”, the President said.
