Kazakhstan boxer WBA and IBO world champion Gennady Golovkin has commented on his upcoming fight against British Matthew Macklin, Allboxig.ru reports. “I respect Macklin, but I don’t believe that his strong sides that I saw in his previous bouts will have any effect on me. I expect him to be a different boxer with new fighting tactics. However, whatever he throws at me in the fight, I will be more than ready to leave the ring victorious. As usual I’m going to make an exciting show,” Golovkin said. The fight between Golovkin and Macklin will be held on June 29, 2013 at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket city (Connecticut, USA) and will become the main boxing event of the night on HBO Boxing After Dark. In the latest bout Gennady Golovkin made a spectacular third round KO of Japanese Nobuhiro Ishida. Golovkin fought 26 fights as a professional and won them all.
