Astana Arlans boxers defeated Mexico Guerreros in the return semifinal World Series of Boxing (WSB) match and made it into the final of the tournament, Vesti.kz reports. The Kazakhstan boxers won all five bouts in Almaty on April 20. Bagdad Alimbekov won over Aaron Alameda in 54kg weight division. Samat Bashenov, 61kg boxer and the captain of Astana Arlans team, won four rounds out of five in his fight against Vazgen Safaryants. Kazakhstan team legionnaire, Ukrainian Sergey Derevyanchenko (73kg) beat Ireland’s Conrad Cummings. Iranian legionnaire of Astana Arlans Ehsan Rouzbahani (85kg) won over Bojan Miskovic by knocking him down two times in the first round. Ruslan Myrsatayev (+91kg) flattened Mexican legionnaire Milutin Stankovic in the last bout of the day. Astana Arlans boxing club won over Mexico Guerreros in their first semifinal match as well. Kazakhstan’s Astana Arlans club will fight against Ukraine Ottomans in the final of the World Series of Boxing in Astana on May 10-11.
