More Kazakhstan students go to US for work after crisis

The number of students traveling to the United States for work has increased by 20 percent, Tengrinews.kz reports. According to Executive Director of B.I.G WORLD Bolat Imanbekov, the number of students willing to work in the US has increased after the country emerged from the financial crisis. Besides, employment services fees of the company was were reduced by $210 in 2011. “The majority of Kazakhstan students go to eastern states to work. We have implemented a unified electronic base to simplify registration procedure. I hope that this innovation will benefit our country's students,” Imanbekov said. On May 12 President of Aspandau research-and-education fund Kanat Nurov suggested to send six thousand teachers for re-qualification under Bolashak scholarship program, instead of sending three thousand students. As per Nurov, this will increase the quality of modern education in Kazakhstan. By Galima Gabdullina
