Speaking of the new directions of American foreign policy, new U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry read Kyrgyzstan as Kyrzakhstan in his speech, Global Post writes. "The brave employees of State and … work in some of the most dangerous places on earth,” he said. “They fight corruption in Nigeria. They support the rule of law in Burma. They support democratic transitions in 'Kyrzakhstan' and Georgia, mindful from our own experience that it takes a long time to get democracy right, and that it rarely happens right away," Kerry said. During the speech where Kerry discovered the new country called Kyrzakhstan he noted the importance of international diplomacy for improvement of positions of the American business in the world. But according to him, solving the U.S. internal problems, such as the country's budget deficit, is especially important. But small quibbles aside, Kerry is positive about Kazakhstan. On February 20 the U.S. Secretary of State had a telephone conversation with Kazakhstan Foreign Minister Yerlan Idrissov and expressed gratitude to Kazakhstan for agreeing to host the next round of the international talks on the Iranian nuclear program in Almaty. Kerry stressed that "thanks to the voluntary abandonment of nuclear arms and firm adherence to enhancement of global non-proliferation, Kazakhstan is a perfect location for such talks". Kazakhstan Foreign Minister replied that Kazakhstan was eagerly awaiting the coming meeting of the international negotiators with Iran, and expressed the hope that the parties will find constructive solutions.
