Foreign Investors’ Council (FIC) to hold a sitting May 18

Foreign Investors’ Council (FIC) under the the directorship of Kazakhstan’s President, Nursultan Nazarbayev, will be holding its 24th sitting May 18, the Ministry of Industry and new Technology announces. The sitting will be focused on modernization of Kazakhstan-based enterprises. On the sidelines of the FIC sitting, President Nursultan Nazarbayev and Prime Minister Karim Massimov are expected to hold bilateral meetings with heads of foreign companies that form the FIC, Interfax-Kazakhstan reports. The FIC is an advisory body established to promote direct dialogue between the Government of Kazakhstan and foreign investors to efficiently address issues related to investment activities and to improve the business climate of Kazakhstan. FIC comprises 29 foreign companies and international organizations.
