KazMunaiGas to purchase Helios chain of gas stations

In July KazMunaiGas National Oil Company plans to start purchasing gas stations belonging to Helios chain, KazTAG reports. According to a source at the Pavlodar oil refinery, almost everything is ready for the forthcoming deal. Earlier Tengrinews.kz reported that Deputy Chairman of Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund Timur Kulibayev had confirmed that KazMunaiGas had started negotiations to buy Helios fuel stations network. Helios has 228 fuel stations in Kazakhstan. It buys fuel from Pavlodar Oil Refinery that is 42% owned by Samruk-Kazyna. Samruk-Kazyna is a joint stock company in Kazakhstan which owns, either in whole or in part, many important companies in the country, including the national rail and postal service, the state oil and gas company KazMunayGas, the state uranium company Kazatomprom, Air Astana, and numerous financial groups.
