Kazakhstan is creating military forces with advanced armament and equipment in the Caspian region, Interfax-Kazakhstan reports citing Kazakhstan Defense Minister Adilbek Dzhaksybekov. “The Caspian region is turning into a zone of global strategic importance. Kazakhstan taking steps to create self-sufficient troops equipped with modern armament and able to ensure military security in the Pre-Caspian region on water, on the ground and in the air,” Dzhaksybekov said in Aktau port.
