Kazakhstan mulls lowering corporate income tax from 20 to 15 percent in 2014, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the participants of the forum on the Customs union and accession into the WTO.
The speakers noted that Kazakhstan had the lowest taxes compared to other members of the Customs Union, Russia and Belarus. “We have the most businesses-friendly tax levies. In particular, we are talking about VAT. Kazakhstan’s VAT is 12 percent, while it is 18 percent in Russia and 20 percent in Belaris. As for the corporate income tax, we plan to decrease it from 20 to 15 percent in 2014,” then Minister of Economic Integration Zhanar Aitzhanova said. She is now the Minister of Economic Integration.
