Nazarbayev met with head of Lukoil in Moscow, Tengrinews.kz reports. “Nursultan Nazarbayev met with president of Lukoil Vagit Alekperov during his visit to Russia. The meeting covered investment activities of Lukoil in Kazakhstan’s oil production sector and prospects of its cooperation with KazMunaiGas,” the President’s official website writes. Vagit Alekperov also informed Nursultan Nazarbayev on implementation of major oil and gas projects in Western Kazakhstan. Lukoil has been working in Kazakhstan since 1995. Being one of the major Russian investors in Kazakhstan, the company takes part in 7 projects and is part of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium. Besides, the President met with chairman of the board of Systema financial corporation Vladimir Yevtushenkov. According to the press-service, the meeting covered prospect of cooperation with Kazakhstan’s business structures and investment activities of Systema in industrial-innovative, oil chemistry and other sectors of Kazakhstan’s economy.
