Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Karim Massimov held a sitting of the Coordination Council for Entrepreneurship, he wrote in his Twitter account. “I’ve managed to fine-tune constructive dialogue with the business community”, he wrote following the sitting. The Coordination Council for Entrepreneurship was established in 2010. The Council is presided over by PM Karim Massimov. The Council is an advisory body under the Kazakhstan’s Government. Its major aim is to render support to entrepreneurs. Earlier the PM wrote in his Twitter account that The Government had come up with legislation suggestions on how to further humanize the penal code and to protect interests of small and middle-size business. Deprivation of freedom as a penalty for those committing economic crimes is abolished in case criminals voluntarily compensate for the damage inflicted. For certain types of economic crimes, greater fines will be introduced as an alternative to deprivation of freedom. Further humanization of the nation’s penal code had been advised by President Nazarbayev.
