Kazakhstan mulls ad-hoc holding company to develop vocational training institutions

An ad-hoc holding company is to be established in Kazakhstan shortly to develop vocational training institutions in Kazkahstan, Prime Minister Karim Massimov wrote in his Twitter account. “It is the right time to develop the national network of vocational training institutions. We need to establish exemplary vocational training institutions to complement Nazarbayev intellectual schools and Nazarbayev University”, PM Massimov said at the Government’s sitting today, April 26. K. Massimov instructed the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection and the Ministry of economic Development and Trade to estimate demand for respective professionals in certain fields so that the data could be integrated into the curricula of vocational training institutions. According to the Education Minister Bakhytzhan Zhumagulov, “the holding company will have its board of trustees, Board of Directors, general shareholders’ meetings”. “It is an important component of the industrialization programs”, the PM summed up.
