Cycling: Vinokourov failed to win second Olympic medal

Kazakhstan cyclist Alexandre Vinokourov, London Olympic champion of the men’s road race, came 23rd in the individual time trial, failing to win the second Olympic medal. Kazakhstan TV Channel El-Arna was broadcasting the race live. Vinokourov covered 44 kilometers of the race in 55 minutes and 37 seconds. One more Kazakhstan cyclist Assan Bazayev came 31st and rode the distance in 56 minutes 40 seconds. Individual time trial kicked off in London on August 1 at 7:15 p.m. Astana time. British Bradley Wiggins, recent champion of Tour de France-2012, won the race.
