Kazakhstan GDP grew 7-fold in 9 years

Kazakhstan’s GDP grew 7-fold during the period from 2002 to 2011: from 3.8 trillion tenge ($25.7 billion) to 27.3 trillion tenge ($186 billion), Vlast business magazine writes citing Kazakhstan Statistics Agency. In average GDP was growing 1.2-1.3 times per year. Last year’s GDP per capita made 1.7 million tenge ($11 thousand), which is 650 percent more than in 2002. *according to the information of Kazakhstan Statistics Agency ©Irina Galat According to the International Monetary Fund, in 2011 Kazakhstan was ranked 53rd among 182 countries with its GDP of $214.84 billion. 6-percent growth of GDP is forecasted in Kazakhstan in 2012.
