Climate and malnutrition initially create unequal conditions for training for Kazakhstan football players compared to their European counterparts, Interfax-Kazakhstan reports citing Advisor to Kazakhstan President and member of the executive commission of Kazakhstan Football Federation Yermukhamet Yertysbayev. “Two fundamental factors have a negative effect on development of Kazakhstan football: first of all, sharply continental climate that does not allow our professionals to play outside 7 months a year. And secondly, the structure of Kazakhstan nutrition that contains much less calcium, magnesium and ferrum than European or Latin American food. An average Kazakhstan football player is inferior to European one by all physical parameters,” Yertysbayev told Vremya magazine. According to him, these fundamental conditions affect Russian football players as well. “Let’s take Russia. How miserably they looked in the games against Polacks and Greeks at Euro-2012! Can you imagine what would have happened if Russia played against Portugal or Germany? They would have lost 1:7 or 0:5,” he said. Yertysbayev also notes the significant improvements in development of Kazakhstan football in the last 5 years since the Football Federation is headed by Defense Minister Adilbek Dzhaksybekov. “The stadiums are being built, football schools are being opened, the general level of our football is growing. Aktobe club (Aktobe) played 1:1 in away game with Torpedo (Kutaissi) and Ordabassy (Shymkent) played 1:0 in away game with Serbia,” Yertysbayev said.
