Advanced information technologies called to unite people frequently disunite them instead, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Nursultan Nazarbayev as saying in his welcoming speech at the 4th Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. “As it has happened several times in the past, the humanity does not always use the new inventions given to it by the Higher Reason for good purposes. Advanced information technologies and newest communications aimed at uniting people are frequently used to disunite people and erect new barriers in the communities,” the President said. He noted that instead of knowledge distribution, the networking resources frequently serve to propagate defection and base human instincts, unleash lies, fratricide calls and hatred. “Moral braces of any society are disrupted: the family, children raising traditions, generations succession and many others. This is a bitter reality of the modern world,” Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed. According to Kazakhstan President, there is a deficiency of positive world order concepts in the world these days. “A modern world is on the crossroad, that’s why the issues we will discuss at the Congress are of high importance.
