“The work remains weak“ - the Prime Minister criticized KTZ again
Tengrinews.kz — Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov has once again criticized the poor performance of the national company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ).
Bektenov ordered the renovation of Kazakhstan's railway stations to be completed by the end of the year.
"The performance of KTZ remains weak. The situation must be improved. (...) The Ministry of Transport, together with Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, is required to complete the construction of key railway lines and the renovation of stations by the end of the year," Olzhas Bektenov stated during a government meeting.
As a reminder, in June, Olzhas Bektenov issued a reprimand to the now-former head of the national company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, Talgat Aldybergenov. At that time, the Prime Minister reminded him of his personal responsibility regarding the failure to meet transit transport targets.
Last week, it was announced that Talgat Aldybergenov stepped down as Chairman of the Board of KTZ. Bauyrzhan Urynbasarov has been appointed acting head of the national company.
