The International Committee of the Red Cross will take part in the CSTO (Collective Security Treaty Organization) training, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the decision of Defense Ministers of CSTO member-states made at the meeting of the Defense Ministers Council in Astana. Representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross will take part in the CSTO training for the first time and are expected to work on the tasks related to provision of humanitarian aid to people engulfed in a conflict. The training will be held at Bagramyan training grounds in Armenia on September 3-8, 2012. Interaction-2012 training is going to be focused on special operations on resque of hostages, put down of prison unrests, clump down of terrorist groups and elimination of the consequences of the explosions of buildings, dams, accidents at chemical facilities and railroad stations. Besides, CSTO press-service stated that Russian Defense Minister Anatoliy Serdyukov initiated a discussion on dismissal of the first deputy head of CSTO Joint Headquarters Colonel-General Anatoliy Nagovitsyn because of his termination from Russian Military Forces after he reached the maximum age for military service.
