Nursultan Nazarbayev took part in the opening of the second international exhibition of armament and military-technical property KADEX-2012 in Astana, Tengrinews.kz reports. A real military show was presented to the President. First went the heavy military vehicles of Kazakhstan Army. Aerial stunts of L-39, MiG-29, Su-27 planes were demonstrated by pilots of Sunkar, Alatau and Zhetyssu groups of Kazakhstan Air Forces. Besides, Nursultan Nazarbayev and other guests of the fair got to see a parade of military orchestras of Kazakhstan, Germany, Poland, India, U.S. and Tajikistan. Besides, Kazakhstan President accompanied by Defense Minister reviewed the fair expositions. Over 250 companies from over 20 countries applied for participation in KADEX this year. The companies are presenting modern clothing, fire arms and everything related to armed forces. T-72 and T-72B tanks, infantry combat vehicle BMP-2, military cars Cobra, Tiger and Hummer, KamAZ of different modifications are exhibited in the open area. Aviation is represented by Su-27UBM, MiG-31 planes and Mi-17V5, EC-145 and Mi-2 helicopters. Air-defense missile system C-300 has a separate place at the exhibition. Even Sukhoi Superjet 100 plane from Russia arrived at the exhibition. Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed that successful KADEX-2012 fair will help bringing military technical arsenal of Kazakhstan army in compliance with the best international practices. “This will allow to increase the defense power of our country and will help strengthening Kazakhstan’s positions as a leader and a reliable geopolitical partner in the region. Military security of Kazakhstan is based on the policy of cooperation and good-neighborly relations between the countries, their equality and nonintervention into internal affairs of each other. Our country has always been and will be a supporter of peaceful settlement of international disputes, enhancement of the regional military cooperation based on trust and mutual understanding,” the President’s press-service cites Nursultan Nazarbayev as saying. During the fair Nazarbayev met with Defense Ministers of CSTO (Collective Security Treaty Organization) countries. The meeting covered cooperation under the CSTO. Before the meeting the Ministers met separately to discuss preparation for joint military training called Interaction-2012. KADEX exhibition will work on May 5 to May 6.
