16 units of vehicles that Kazakhstan army has never had before will be demonstrated at the military parade in Astana, KazTAG reports citing deputy Commander-in-Chief of Kazakhstan Ground Forces Amanzhol Ospanov. “16 units of new vehicles will take part in parade for the first time. They include 3 Buratino heavy flame-blast weapon systems and 3 tank-support fighting vehicles and 10 armored troop carriers. The vehicles have been bought this year and are just being registered in Kazakhstan army,” Ospanov said at the parade rehearsal on Monday. According to Ospanov, “139 units of vehicles, including missile, armored and special vehicles are involved” this year. “Besides, there will be Kazakhstan air forces,” Major General said. Air forces will be represented by Strela-10, S-300, S-200, S-125 and S-75. Naiza, Acacia, Msta, Tyulpan (Tulip), Smerch (Whirlwind), Rapira (Rapier), Shturm (Storm), Grad (Hail) and Uragan (Hurricane) will also take part in the parade. All full-track vehicles are changed into asphalt-moving “shoes”. The speed of vehicles at the parade will be 15 km/hour. Military parade timed to Kazakhstan Constitution Day will be held on the main square of the capital. General rehearsals will be held on August 22, 24 and 28. Over 2.5 thousand military men, 139 vehicles and 65 units of military aviation will take part in the parade. Kazakhstan Constitution Day is celebrated on August 30.
