Kazakhstan updates military draft rules once again

Tengrinews.kz – The Government of Kazakhstan has introduced new amendments to the rules governing military conscription, according to an official resolution.

One of the key changes concerns the timing of the second stage of the draft process. Under the updated regulations, the second stage will now take place at military enlistment offices on the following fixed dates each year:

• From March 1 to June 30
• From September 1 to December 31

Previously, the second stage was tied to the completion of spring and autumn call-ups, without specific deadlines.

The new resolution is set to come into effect 10 days after its publication, on July 29.

Earlier, the President of Kazakhstan signed legislative amendments concerning military service, patriotic education, and the redistribution of powers among central government bodies.
