Kazakhstan has never agreed to provide its territory for military operation against Iran, Tengrinews.kz reports citing official representative of Kazakhstan Foreign Ministry Altai Abibullayev. "Any information on Kazakhstan's alleged consent to make its territory available for foreign military bases in case of a military operation against Iran is not true," Abibullayev said. According to the official representative of the Ministry, "irresponsible statements and insinuations in the media on the possible use of Kazakhstan's territory and air space by foreign countries for military purposes are groundless". Altai Abibullayev stressed that being an executive party of the international relations and the leader in nuclear disarmament, Kazakhstan calls for and will keep calling only for peaceful and diplomatic settlement of the situation around Iranian nuclear program. Earlier Tengrinews.kz English cited U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as saying that U.S. Department of State has no information about Israel allegedly obtaining consent from Kazakhstan to use military air bases located at the territory of Kazakhstan in case a military operation against Iran unfolds.
