Kazakhstan's military base 25744 received the new BTR-82As at Mangyshlak station. Then their personnel drove the new vehicles 40km to their permanent dislocation area. The liveness of the new vehicles has been increased by 20 percent compared to the previous version. They provide excellent protection of personnel, units and systems. The vehicles are equipped with splinter screens. Besides providing extra protection they make work of the crew inside the carriers more comfortable by increasing thermal and noise insulation of the living module. Besides, the vehicles’ fire power and mobility have been increased, improving their flotation in off-road conditions. The marine corps will perform a field exercise that will involve the new carriers in January. The training will include battlefield gunnery.
