Kazakhstan Defense Minister Adilbek Dzhaksybekov is in Turkey to visit Aselsan and TAI military companies, Tengrinews reports citing the Defense Ministry’s press-service. According to the press-service, Aselsan is one of the leading companies of Turkish military industry and the leader of the military-electronic industry. TAI (Turkish Aerospace Industries, Inc.) works on modernization, modification and integration of new aviation systems for the army. Dzhaksybekov met with the Turkish Minister of National Defense Ismet Yılmaz and the head of Turkish Armed Forces Necdet Ozel. Kazakhstan Minister stressed that Turkish armed forces are among most efficient and combat-capable among NATO countries. Kazakhstan Defense Ministry is interested in studying and applying the Turkish experience. “The Turkish Armed Forces and the Central Command in particular were one of the first to render a comprehensive support to the Kazakhstan’s Armed Forces at the early stage of their establishment and development. Kazakhstan army has accumulated a significant potential for countering security threats since then. One of the priorities of Kazakhstan Defense Ministry is to improve training, education and professional improvement of the army and its technical modernization. We are interested in studying and applying your experience,” Dzhaksybekov said. Earlier Tengrinews reported that experts from different divisions of Kazakhstan’s Armed Forces studied drones from all over the world to choose that could be usable in Kazakhstan's weather conditions. They made practical tests of the drones at the territory of Kazakhstan.
