Kazakhstan could purchase a big batch of 82A armored vehicles from Russia, Interfax-Kazakhstan reports, citing Sergey Suvorov, press-secretary of the Military Industrial Company. “We are planning to sign a two-year contract. Executive director of the company will visit Kazakhstan to discuss terms of the contract and quantity of 82A armored vehicles to be supplied,” Suvorov said. He also added that Russia has supplied several dozens of armored vehicles to Kazakhstan in 2011 and will supply the same amount of armor in 2012. “These vehicles are not part of the new new two-year contract that we are planning to sign,” the press-secretary added. Earlier Tengrinews.kz reported that Kazakhstan became the first buyer of Russian Terminator tank support fighting vehicles (BMPT). It is worth saying that it was the first time that Russia supplied these vehicles abroad.
