Four helicopters of Usharalsk Squadron have participated in tactical air-to-ground flight exercises involving missile training, Tengrinews reports citing IA Novosti-Kazakhstan, citing the Border Service of Kazakhstan National Security Committee. The exercises took place on July 10 in Almaty Oblast.
As part of the exercise, the Squadron completed a 300 kilometre round along the route of Usharal - Aktogay – Usharal. Along their route they exercised in jamming communications, attacking a camp and providing technical and logistic support.

“Four helicopters worked at Kyzylagash aviation training site to exercise in hitting ground targets with aircraft cannons, bombs, unguided missiles and machine guns," the border service said.
Each year, the Squadron participates in border operations and counterterrorist exercises that involve border aviation.
Usharalsk Squadron is responsible for air support of several border detachments on the Kazakh-Chinese border. Besides its main objective to protect the state border, it also makes rescue flights.
