The Third International Exhibition of Arms and Military Equipment KADEX in Astana was very successful in terms of contract signing, Tengrinews reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan.

More than 46 thousand visitors attended KADEX this year. Apart from a range of military equipment, they could enjoy performances by the foreign and local military bands.

The exhibition brought together 208 representatives of foreign companies and 54 official delegations from 28 countries. More than 300 various weapons and military equipment were exhibited. These included equipment for ground forces, naval forces, air forces, air defense and communications personnel. 92 Kazakhstani companies presented their products.

As pointed out by the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan, KADEX-2014 helped identify a range of products that the authorities are interested in purchasing, improve conditions for the development of defence industry in Kazakhstan, and deepen cooperation with leading foreign manufacturers of weapons and military equipment.

As a result of the Exhibition, a total of $2.6 billion worth of contracts, memorandums and agreements were signed.
