In January – March 2013 Kazakhstan produced a total of 17.3 million tons of oil, 2.5% up against the like period of 2012, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing the State Agency for Statistics. Kazakhstan boosted condensed gas production for the period 2.2%. “In the Q1 the condensed gas production output stood at 3.27 million tons. Coal production for the period totaled 30.6 million tons, 3.1% down as compared to the like period of 2012”, according to the Agency for Statistics. Production of unrefined gold for the period made up 10 628 kg, with silver production output standing at 238 241 kg. Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Oil and Gas earlier brought down its estimated oil and condensed gas production output through 2016. Kazakhstan plans to produce 82 million tons of crude and condensed gas in 2013, with the figure brought up to 83 million in 2014 and 90 million in 2015. Gas production is expected to reach 40.5 billion cubic meters this year, 41 billion in 2014 and 45 billion in 2015.
