Nazarbayev wants clear and definite solutions for the oil and gas sector of Kazakhstan, the press-service cites Kazakhstan President as saying at the meeting on development of oil and gas sector in Astana, Tengrinews.kz reports. The meeting covered the course of implementation of the President’s instructions on development of the country’s oil and gas sector and working out solutions for pressing issues. “It is necessary to consider construction of a gas-processing plant and a gas pipeline from Karachaganak field to the country’s central regions, as well as to deal with oil transportation from Russia and loading of Pavlodar oil refinery. I would like you -- the people responsible for the issues -- to offer me clear and definite solutions of the issues in the oil and gas sector. We have to resolve some of these issues at the presidents’ level now although these issues are in your competence. Besides, it is important to study all the details of further development of Kashagan field,” Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed. The meeting was attended by new Prime-Minister Serik Akhmetov, head of Presidential Administration Karim Massimov, Deputy Prime-Minister Kairat Kelimbetov, Chairman of Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund Umirzak Shukeyev, Deputy Head of Presidential Administration Bakhyt Sultanov, Minister of Oil and Gas Sauat Mynbayev, President of KazMunaiGas Lyazzat Kiinov and Chairman of the Presidium of Kazakhstan’s National Economic Chamber Atameken Timur Kulibayev. “At the end of the meeting Kazakhstan President gave a range of instructions on resolution of a range of pressing issues in oil and gas sector and fulfillment of his previous tasks,” the press-service writes.
